Lumineers and Veneers

Lumineers and VeneersIf your teeth are stained, gapped, misaligned, chipped or otherwise imperfect, you have several options to achieve the smile of your dreams. Dr. Poneh Ghasri, West Hollywood cosmetic dentist, can help you understand those options and determine which is best suited to your individual needs. Dental veneers and Lumineers can be used to correct a host of cosmetic issues.

Porcelain Veneers

Wafer thin and made of stain-resistant porcelain, dental veneers are designed to fit over the fronts of your teeth and conceal many flaws. In order to ensure a comfortable fit, better stain elimination and correct misalignments among other issues, a small amount of enamel will need to be removed. Once your new veneers are made, they will be permanently bonded to the fronts of your teeth.

Lumineers

Lumineers are a special type of dental veneers that require no preparation. Whereas traditional dental veneers necessitate the removal of enamel, Lumineers are so thin they can be placed directly over the front of your teeth. Like veneers, they can correct numerous cosmetic issues, but some contouring may be necessary for those with severely stained teeth, misalignments or certain other issues. When no enamel is removed, Lumineers are considered reversible, and there is no risk of post-procedure sensitivity.

Both types of veneers have benefits that may be more suited to your unique needs, which is why it is essential that you discuss your treatment goals and desires with Dr. Ghasri West Hollywood Lumineers dentist. Give us a call today to learn more or to schedule your consultation.
